Dated 1902, Newcomb College Pottery mug, decorated by Sara Bloom Levy, stands 4" high by 5" wide. Handled, it is glazed in the high gloss blue that Newcomb College is widely known for. Marked on the base in blue ink is the N in C stamp, S.B.L (Sara Bloom Levy, decorator), JM (Joseph Meyer, master potter), P57, and Q. In excellent original condition, there are no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. Any shadows or white spots are from my lights and are not in the glaze.
